A Little Bit About Me
To summarise I'm a down to earth, fun loving, hardworking, family oriented, adventurous, straight talking Muslima. I love to laugh, travel, learn and I try to see the good in everyone.

My religion is very important to me (as I'm sure it is to everyone on here) and I'm always striving to increase my understanding of it. I lived and studied in France and Egypt where I learnt Arabic, and I'm fairly fluent alhamdulillah. I would love to live abroad once I'm married and study Islam further, so it would be great if my partner had a similar interest.

Although I do appreciate that with wealth comes a certain level of comfort, I'm not too impressed by it. So don't worry if you're not flushed. I appreciate the simple things in life - an evening in with good food and a good movie suits me more than an extravagant meal at a pretentious restaurant.

Islam to me is more than just the 5 pillars, it permeates everything I do. I'm wary of buying cheap clothes, I'm big on recycling, I keep chickens in my back garden as I can't stand the idea of eating from caged hens. I hope to find a similarly concious brother.

I didn't work as hard in my youth as I would've liked, so I've recently gone back to university. I'm in my second year now, and at the moment I'm considering pursuing an MA. So, it is important to me that the person I marry will support me in my pursuits. As well as being at university I have a part-time job working as a project manager for a Muslim charity, so I rarely get time for fun stuff.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm family-oriented. I love spending time with my nieces and nephews. My family also foster and over the years we've fostered 20 children. There are so many Muslim children in the care system, so it is incredibly important to me that whoever I marry is keen to help take on this fard 'ayn.
